Netflix has announced its latest video game adaption, and it's a new Tekken show. Tekken: Bloodline is a new anime based on the classic fighting game series, and it's coming to the streaming platform this year.
The new show is focused on Jin Kazama and his journey to get revenge after a «monstrous evil» entered the world and shook his life up. Check out the teaser trailer below to get a closer look at the new series.
This is not Tekken's first extension beyond games, as there was a Tekken animated movie in 1998 and a live-action Tekken film in 2009. Another animated movie, Tekken: Blood Vengeance, was released in 2011. Bloodline is Tekken's first animated series, however.
The new Tekken anime for Netflix is one of many new video game TV shows and movies in the works. The next big release is this week's Halo TV series and then April's Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie.
As for the Tekken video games, 2017's Tekken 7 is the latest entry in the series. No new entries have been announced.
«Jin Kazama learned the family self-defense arts, Kazama-Style Traditional Martial Arts, from his mother at an early age.
