John Wick has been blasting away his enemies on screen for almost a decade and the highly-anticipated John Wick: Chapter 4 is finally arriving this summer. Along with this new Keanu Reeves'-led-killer adventure comes new characters that are ready to take aim or aid John this time around as he tries to take down the High Table.
Lionsgate officially announced the film during Chapter 3: Parabellum's opening week, with a scheduled release date of May 21, 2021, but was delayed to May 27, 2022, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was pushed again further to March 2023, in part to avoid opening against Top Gun: Maverick, which became one of the biggest movies of all time.
The posters for JW4 feature new additions Bills Skarsgard, Donnie Yen, Clancy Brown, Scott Adkins, Rina Sawayama, and some familiar faces like Lawrence Fishburne as The Bowery King, and Lance Riddick's Charon, the concierge of The Continental Hotel.
For John's fourth film, the overworked assassin uncovers a path to defeating the High Table, but before he's off the hook, Wick must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe as he finds old friends are now his newest enemies.
Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer confirmed that a fifth John Wick film was being developed alongside Chapter 4. While it was initially intended to be shot back-to-back with the fourth installment, in March 2021 Lionsgate chose to delay production, but move forward with Chapter 4 first.
John Wick: Chapter 4 finally hits theaters on March 24, 2023.
