While the console market generally dominates the video game industry, PC gaming is still going strong, with some considering it the superior platform. With the success of God of War being ported to PC, it shows that playing games on home computers is still very much sought after by the community. While making a contemporary console game playable on PC is one thing, it's another to take a game that's almost a quarter of a century old, that was exclusive to Nintendo, and do the same. But that's what some people have been doing for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
According to a recent report from DSO Gaming, a new video has emerged which shows the upcoming PC version of the classic Ocarina of Time, which originally came out for the Nintendo 64 way back in 1998. The clip shows the game, which is based on reverse-engineered code and maintains the general look and feel of the original. The video description says that this version will have widescreen support as well as some upscaling, which can be seen in the short clip.

In the footage, Link is seen wandering through Lon Lon Ranch as well as Kakariko Village. It needs to be reiterated at this stage that this is a native PC port of the original console game, and is not a remake. For many who remember the beloved N64 game, it will look very familiar, though with the aforementioned graphical upscaling. Given that the game is limited to Nintendo consoles, including ones that are now defunct, it will likely be exciting for many fans who will soon get to play it on a different platform.
