Meanwhile, in the midst of this emotional revelation, Noah (who acts as the narrator of the movie), is intent on getting his friend Howie to hook up with someone during their vacation. Howie has never been in a relationship and is hesitant to make a connection with a random man when he could be spending time with his beloved friends, especially when this connection likely won't amount to much. With a resurgence of romantic comedies in recent years, Fire Island is looking to be a worthy addition to the genre and is an excellent kick-off to Pride Month.
