Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes Trailer Introduces New and Returning Characters
One of the most surprising announcements from February's Nintendo Direct earlier this year was Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, another collaboration between Nintendo and Koei Tecmo. This entry is to be based on 2019's Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and serves as both an alternate take on it and as a sequel to 2017's Fire Emblem Warriors, which was a surprisingly successful blend of the Fire Emblem series with Koei Tecmo's Musou/Dynasty Warriors franchise. Now, with Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes gearing up for release in June, Nintendo has showcased a new trailer highlighting many new and returning elements from Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes is the latest mashup of a Nintendo franchise with Koei Tecmo's Musou gameplay that has crossed over with major media franchises such as The Legend of Zelda, Berserk, One Piece, Persona and even Attack on Titan. The last collaboration from both publishers was 2020's Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, which combined elements from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild with the Dynasty Warriors gameplay formula while serving as an alternate universe prequel to the 2017 open-world adventure game.

Now, both companies have combined forces for a similar take on Intelligent Systems' Fire Emblem: Three Houses. However, this time things seem very different from the original.
