Heather Hazen has been named studio head as head of Firaxis Games, the studio that made the Marvel’s Midnight Suns title.
She replaces Steve Martin, who is leaving the studio after 25 years at Firaxis. In addition, Jake Solomon, creative director on Midnight Suns, is also leaving the studio, which is owned by Take-Two Interactive’s 2K label. While Midnight Suns got good reviews, Take-Two said sales fell short of expectations.
2K also announced that it is workng on the next mainline game in the world-famous Sid Meier’s Civilization franchise.
Hazen previously served as chief operatig officer at Firaxis, which launched Marvel’s Midnight Suns last fall an also works on the XCOM and Civilization games.
