A Finding Nemo television series is rumored to be in development for Disney+. Since its release in 2003, Finding Nemo has been one of Pixar Animation Studios' most beloved films. Finding Nemo follows Marlin (voiced by Albert Brooks), a clownfish, who goes on a quest to find his only son, Nemo (voiced by Alexander Gould), who is captured by divers during the events of the film. On his adventure to rescue Nemo, Marlin is joined by a forgetful blue fish named Dory (voiced by Ellen DeGeneres).
After helping Marlin reunite with Nemo, Dory becomes the titular character of the Finding Nemo sequel, Finding Dory, in 2016. While Finding Nemo keeps Marlin and Nemo separated for most of the film, Finding Dory puts the father and son duo together when they are separated from Dory, who's still affected by lapses in memory. Following similar themes to Finding Nemo, Marlin and Nemo search for Dory while she goes on an adventure of self-discovery on her own to learn the truth about where she comes from and what happened to her parents.
