One of the iconic features that Square Enix's Final Fantasy series has introduced to its fans are the Chocobos. Large and flightless, Chocobos are often well-known in the role-playing game series as means of on-ground transportation. However, the original Final Fantasy 7 gave Chocobos even bigger roles via Chocobo breeding and Chocobo racing in Gold Saucer. Now, Square Enix shares new concept art about the iconic creatures, providing in-game details of the role Chocobos have in the remake.
Final Fantasy 7 likely triggered the beginnings of more interactive roles of Chocobos in the video game series. FF8 had its own Chocobo World minigame, and also featured Chocobos in the iconic Final Fantasy 8 Triple Triad card game. This trend continued on with other Final Fantasy games, and Square Enix seems to be teasing its community by releasing the Chocobo concept art for Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Fans are now likely intrigued and curious about how Chocobos will factor into the remake.
Official Art Combines Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Kingdom Hearts
On the official Final Fantasy 7 Remake Japanese Twitter account, the team shared multiple images of the game's Chocobo concept art. This includes front and back images of the Chocobo itself, concept art of a Chocobo-drawn carriage, and the last one focuses on a render of a Chocobo-themed popcorn sales stall. Using Google Translate, the post shares some in-game details such as popular products found in Midgar such as Chocobo-scented laundry detergent, and popcorn made from «Chocobo Beans.» The post even went so far to say that these «Chocobo Beans» are considered a wonder of the world due to their unique shape after popping.
Though the post does not reveal Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2
