Final Fantasy 7 Remake Mod Gives NPCs a Graphical Overhaul

Since the launch of Square Enix's Final Fantasy 7 Remake for the PC last December 2021, many hardcore fans have been hard at work to produce interesting mods that tweak many elements of the RPG. Some have focused on being able to customize their favorite FF7 Remake characters, while others worked to make the already high-definition title into something more visually stimulating to look at. Now, another fan took it upon themselves to revamp 530 NPC faces within the PC version of the game, creating a massive mod that their fellow players can enjoy.

Containing 530 textures to replace the ones currently available on the PC version of FF7 Remake, the goal of the mod was to improve the NPCs overall look. The modder also added an option of 80 other faces from the game's PlayStation 4 version, lamenting that they look much better than their PS5 or PC iterations. In the before and after photos, players can clearly see the improvement in coloring and textures on the NPCs faces, making them look healthier and more appealing.
