Final Fantasy 14 recently scheduled another 14-Hour Broadcast, a special streaming marathon production put on by the development team. The upcoming Final Fantasy 14 broadcast will be the eighth in its history, and will feature a Live Letter from the Producer as well as a special guest: Hironobu Sakaguchi, the creator of the Final Fantasy franchise.
The 14-Hour Broadcast forFinal Fantasy 14 begins on October 7 at 8 PM PDT, and runs until 10 AM on October 8. Though the broadcast will only have Japanese audio, the Live Letter from the Producer will also have English text. After the Live Letter from the Producer wraps up around 11:30 PM, Final Fantasy 14 will be doing a series of fun segments for players to enjoy. The schedule features quizzes based on Final Fantasy 14 music and the Eorzea Cafe, a chat with members of the Japanese voice cast, and a live Q&A. The event will wrap with a chat between Final Fantasy 14 director and producer Naoki Yoshida and Hironobu Sakaguchi, the “Father of Final Fantasy” himself, as they discuss their hobbies, experiences, and game design.
Sakaguchi was the creative mind behind every Final Fantasy title up until 2003, when he left Square Enix to form Mistwalker. Last September, Sakaguchi began his journey in Final Fantasy 14, cruising through the game at breakneck speed. He is now an accomplished raider, landowner, and advocate forFinal Fantasy 14–not to mention a personal friend of Yoshida, who helped celebrate Sakaguchi’s one-year anniversary with the game.
