Final Fantasy 14 is getting ready to release its Patch 6.2, titled Buried Memory. The next Letter from the Producer LIVE was just recently scheduled, meaning Final Fantasy 14 players now have a pretty good guess as to when the patch itself will drop.
This showcase marks the 72nd Letter from the Producer LIVE Final Fantasy 14 has had since A Realm Reborn’s release. These developer panels allow producer and director Naoki Yoshida and other developers to talk to the Final Fantasy 14 community about news and upcoming releases for the critically-acclaimed MMORPG.
Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker Releases Special Site for Patch 6.2
This Live Letter, scheduled for August 12, 2022, at 4 a.m Pacific, will go into more depth about Buried Memory. This patch marks the second of five major Endwalker content patches, and introduces tons of new elements to the game. In addition to new Main Scenario quests, dungeons, and raids,Final Fantasy 14 is finally adding the Island Sanctuary casual content it teased over a year ago. Though the Live Letter will showcase new information – and likely a teaser trailer – for the patch in English, the presentation audio itself will be in the developers’ native Japanese.
Historically, major content patches in Final Fantasy 14 have come out two weeks after the second Letter from the Producer LIVE about it. Since the 72nd Live Letter is the second to cover 6.2, players can likely expect the patch itself to go live two weeks after. Though Final Fantasy 14 has told players to expect 6.2 in late August, players can plan for the patch to hit servers on August 23rd, barring exceptions. An official release date will probably be revealed during the Live Letter itself.
