Final Fantasy 14 has done many cross-promotions—from Yo-Kai Watch to Fall Guys and many more. Seemingly unconventional crossovers are not off the table as proven by the Fall Guys crossover.
Naoki Yoshida is a huge Blizzard fan and one of his dream collaborations would be with the Diablo franchise. Yoshida added that a collaboration is tricky due to Diablo's dark themes and graphic depictions.
Blizzard themselves do not seem to shy away from unconventional crossovers with Diablo 4, even though the cross-promotion for Call of Duty was done in-house at Activision Blizzard, with Lilith and Inarius becoming playable operators in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.
