Gridanian Walnuts are a Final Fantasy 14 ingredient in high demand for various reasons. They are used in some Culinarian Recipes, one of which is a collectible item that can be given to appraisers for experience points and White Scripts. Sometimes Gridanian Walnuts are even requested by Grand Company Personnel Officers for daily provisioning missions. Last but not least, they are often asked for in levequests.
Final Fantasy 14: How to Get Radiant Twine
This makes Gridanian Walnuts a great way to not only level up a Botanist job, but also a way to sell an item that is sure to be desired by Market Board buyers. Luckily, the item is not hard to farm. The player just needs a level 21 Botanist and have access to the Quarrymill area in the South Shroud.
The walnuts can be found just west of the Atheryte in Quarrymill. The logging points are Mature Trees at level 25, and players will need to use the Triangulate ability (gotten at level 21) for the nodes to show up. Enemies are mostly not aggressive, but there are some to watch out for that are near the area. These include those in the bandit camp and level 25 River Yarzons that can be found by the water to the south. Botanists do have a sneak ability that should be used if they run into any hostile enemies.
Final Fantasy: Characters We Want In The Next Dissidia Game
Remember that the item can only be harvested by Botanists, which requires picking up the job in Old Gridania at X: 6.4 and Y: 8.3. While level 21 is the minimal requirement to harvest Gridanian Walnuts, players will find it easier the high their level and item level. While it is easy to harvest the walnuts via Botanist, there are other methods to getting the ingredient that can be helpful to know and utilize.
