In Patch 9.2, the Fatescribe trinket is changing and will become a full Cheat Death trinket. Tanks probably want to have one before the next tier.
Pre-Change Fatescribe TrinketIn Patch 9.1, the Weave of Warped Fates allowed you to resurrect after your die, similar to a Soulstone or Ancestral Protection Totem. This means that this trinket was not a real cheat death, and instead acted as an additional battle resurrection. This trinket can and has been used to significantly cheese boss mechanics such as pre-nerf Kel'Thuzad, where World First Guilds used DPS with Weave of Warped Fates in order to trivialize the Soul Fracture. This is because certain mechanics throughout raid encounters can be trivialized by killing a player intentionally. However, the downside to this type of trinket, is that this type of trinket can become less valuable for tanks, as sometimes a tank dying and resurrect won't prevent the wipe due to any number of factors including a threat wipe (such as in Mythic+), or a debuff falling off (such as Banshee's Bane on Sylvanas). As such, many Tanks opted to use the old Castle Nathria Cheat Death Trinket Splintered Heart of Al'ar instead of Weave of Warped Fates throughout Sanctum of Domination progression when needed.
Fatescribe Trinket in Patch 9.2In Patch 9.2, the possibility of cheese is being removed with the trinket as Weave of Warped Fates is changing to become a full cheat death trinket.
