The Alien Blaster is a unique energy weapon present in the Commonwealth and the outskirts of Nuka-World. As its name suggests, this weapon is of Alien origin. The Alien Blaster deals 50 base damage and can carry 42 rounds in its clip by default, making it a great option if you like pistols with large ammo magazines.
Although the Alien Blaster is an energy pistol that can only shoot Alien Blaster Rounds by default, you can craft a Fusion Magazine attachment onto it, which allows it to shoot Energy Cells instead. To craft this attachment, you need to unlock the fourth rank of the Science! perk and have five Aluminum, four Adhesive, three Fiber Optics, three Screws, five Circuitry, three Gold, and four Nuclear Materials.
The first Alien Blaster you can get in Fallout 4 is the only variant available in the base game, and it doesn't have a legendary effect. After you reach level 20, a spaceship will crash into the Commonwealth, leaving you with an opportunity to find it and the Alien Blaster.
