Frontier Developments has released update 1.6 for F1 Manager 23, with the patch rolling out for all platforms today. The patch targets some stability improvements, as well as adding the Team Switching feature so you can hop between teams on the grid.
Team Switching is exactly what it sounds like, giving you the ability to swap teams after each season, using your positive reputation to progress up the grid, or lower the stakes by heading down to a backmarker team to rebuild after a poor season.
Patch 1.6 also makes some cosmetic tweaks to update the Aston Martin and Haas cars, and has rebalanced the starting objectives for the Mercedes, Alfa Romeo and Alpha Tauri teams. There’s also a smattering of fixes, including getting drivers to actually have their tyres in the right temperature window for the start of a qualifying lap!
Here’s the full F1 Manager 23 Update 1.6 patch notes:
F1 Manager 23 was a solid second year effort by Frontier, taking the foundations of the fledgeling management sim series and building on it. For our F1 Manager 23 review, I wrote, “F1 Manager 23 evolves and grows upon the foundations of Frontier’s motorsports sim, adding an accessible new Race Replay mode based on real-world events, and expanding some key options for team management. However, it’s not quite there with the overall presentation, and there’s some AI quirks that you need to babysit through race weekends, whether you’re fighting for every point possible or hunting for championships.”
