Capcom showed of a new Exoprimal trailer during its Showcase today, outlining new features, new characters, and more. Capcom also briefly showed off the post-launch roadmap, as well as announcing a new beta beginning June 16.
During the trailer, we had our first introduction to Dr. Synes, the developer of the Exosuits. It's not clear what role Dr. Synes plays in the overall game. We also got a look at the "Stratovater," a new map based on a space elevator linking Earth to space. The Stratovater has the game's signature dinosaur battles, the ones we all initially thought were the sign of a new Dinocrisis game when we first saw it last year.
Capcom used the Stratovater level to introduce a new type of dinosaur enemy, a mutated and extremely powerful "Neo-T.Rex."
We also got a look at the new exosuit variant "Deadeye Alpha," and upgraded and more powerful version of the Deadeye suit. Capcom announced a "Savage Gauntlet" mode for up to five players, with "new missions" that change up each week.
The next open beta for Exoprimal opens up June 16 and has new story missions, as well as the promise of rewards for participating players. If you're interested, you can sign up at the Exoprimal website right now.
The Capcom Showcase is one of the final showcases of this round of Summer of Gaming, where so far we've seen a deeper look at Starfield during Microsoft's dedicated Starfield presentation, gameplay for the upcoming Star Wars Outlaws, and more.
