The Bluntman and Chronic comic is a big part of Kevin Smith's View Askewniverse, but how many Jay and Silent Bob movies have they actually appeared in? Jay and Silent Bob — played by Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith, respectively — first appeared in Clerks, Smith's 1994 directorial debut that established his ear for quotable dialogue. Clerks ended up being the first entry in Smith's View Askewniverse series, which also featured arguably his most acclaimed film, which is 1997's Chasing Amy. The latter movie also established Jay and Silent Bob as the inspiration behind the Bluntman and Chronic comic.

While Smith has returned to his View Askewniverse over the years, he's branched out into other genres.
