Every Thursday at 10:00am CT, the Epic Games Store gives away a new game for users to claim, and Thursday, January 20 is no exception to that rule. Like always, Epic Games Store users can log in and add a new game to their collection completely free of charge while also taking a look at the free game that will become available next week.
From Thursday, January 20 at 10:00am CT until Thursday, January 27 at the same time, Epic Games Store users can snag Relicta for their digital libraries. Relicta, for the uninitiated, is a first-person, physics-based puzzle game that has drawn comparisons to games like Portal. Relicta earned mostly positive reviews at the time of its release and while it may not reach the same heights as a game like Portal, puzzle game fans should still check it out.

On January 27, Relicta will get replaced by the next Epic Games Store free game, which will be available from January 27 until February 3, making it the first Epic Games Store free game for February 2022. Starting January 27, Epic Games Store users can claim Daemon x Machina for their collection, giving them the chance to check out the third-person shooter Mecha game without paying a dime.
Daemon x Machina was developed by Marvelous First Studio, a development studio within the company Marvelous, known for games like Story of Seasons. Daemon x Machina lets players customize their own mech and pilot, battling it out with other mechs either solo or in co-op. Daemon x Machina was originally a Nintendo Switch exclusive game, but came to PC in 2020. The PC port of Daemon X Machina will be less than a year old by the time it hits the Epic Games Store, making it one of the newer games
