A brand new Avengers: Endgame behind-the-scenes image shows Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) after Iron Man's rescue from space. The second-year anniversary of the Joe and Anthony Russo-directed MCU flick is approaching, making fans nostalgic about it. Even before that, though, MCU followers get a fresh look at the movie thanks to Paltrow's latest social media post.
Marvel Studios' first romantic pairing was established in 2008 via Jon Favreau's Iron Man. Tony and Pepper's relationship wasn't a walk in the park — at one point, they even broke up because he couldn't give up his superhero stint as Iron Man. They eventually reconciled, though, and following Thanos' (Josh Brolin) snap in Avengers: Infinity War, they got married and had a kid in Morgan (Lexi Rabe). That almost didn't happen, though — Tony thought he was going to die floating in space as he and Nebula (Karem Gillan) left Titan to return to Earth. Fortunately, Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) was able to save them. At that point, however, he was severely malnourished and needed immediate medical treatment.

Avengers: Endgame only briefly featured Tony post-rescue and in a state of disarray, as he passed out from fatigue and lack of nourishment. Now, however, Paltrow is sharing a brand new behind-the-scenes image that shows more of Iron Man in his direst physical state. It's worth noting that in the film, Tony looked skinnier and frailer because he was digitally made to look that way, similar to how they shrunk Chris Evans for Captain America: The First Avenger. So here, Downey
