Encantoco-director Jared Bush reveals a subtle but cool detail in the background of Mirabel and Isabela's big song. Also directed by Byron Howard and Charise Castro Smith, Disney's Encanto is the animated sensation of the moment. The colorful musical, which was first released in theaters last November, tells the story of young Mirabel Madrigal (Stephanie Beatriz) and her magical family. While everyone around her has a special ability gifted by their casita, Mirabel was left without one. Encanto has won over audiences everywhere with its infectious soundtrack, emotional themes, and compelling cast of characters. Each member of the Madrigal family gets at least one moment to shine, particularly when it comes to Mirabel's sisters. Encanto establishes early on that Mirabel has a strained relationship with her seemingly perfect older sister Isabela (Diane Guerrero), and it isn't until they open up to each other with the duet «What Else Can I Do?» that they finally learn to see each other for who they really are.
