Elden Ring just became four out of the five best selling games of the week on Steam. The top three were Elden Ring, Elden Ring, and Elden Ring Deluxe Edition. The fifth spot on the list also happens to be held by Elden Ring.
The reason for these duplicate entries appears to be localization. While the international version of the game holds the second spot on the list, the first and third places are currently held by the Japanese localizations of Elden Ring and Elden Ring Deluxe Edition. The fifth entry seems to be related to the fulfillment of preorders that were placed before the game launched on February 25, 2022.

The difference between the standard and deluxe editions of Elden Ring is rather slight. The latter includes a digital artbook and original soundtrack in addition to the full game. There is currently no downloadable content available for Elden Ring, but this could be changing at some point in the future.
Elden Ring was released to rave reviews on the part of both critics and players. The game is currently at 95 on Metacritic and Mostly Positive on Steam where it has over 80,000 reviews. This does not however mean that it was launched without any problems whatsoever. The game has been getting negative reviews by some players on account of its apparently poor performance on PC. The issue seems to be related to certain hardware configurations.
The fourth best selling game of the week was Destiny 2: The Witch Queen Deluxe Edition. This of course means that only two games, Elden Ring and Destiny 2, hold the top five spots on the list.
