Elden Ring Update 1.04 Fleshes Out the Tutorial

Elden Ring just received a new update which made several adjustments to the game’s balance. Patch 1.04 buffed Colossal Weapons by improving their attack speed and reducing the recovery time. It also buffed several sorceries and incantations in Elden Ring by reducing their cast time, FP cost, and stamina cost.

It even has a short boss fight, but this tutorial area is easy to miss, as players can completely ignore it and progress to the opening region. Now, a new message tells players to jump down the hole to reach The Cave of Knowledge, where they can learn about Elden Ring’s controls and gain some other helpful tips.

It appears as soon as players go near the area, and they don’t need to view a message on the ground to see it.
