There's no denying the immense popularity of Elden Ring, the latest FromSoftware action RPG. Elden Ring has already become the biggest Steam launch in FromSoftware's history, surpassing Dark Souls 3 and Sekiro.
With many of the technical issues resolved, Bandai Namco is probably looking forward to breaking more sales records with Elden Ring. In addition to astounding sales numbers, the game has also received favorable reviews from critics, mainly for its story and design. The game's writer, George RR Martin, is also happy with positive reviews of Elden Ring.

Besides positive reviews, Elden Ring is on the road to breaking several video game sales and revenue records as time progresses. According to the numbers provided by GSD, Elden Ring has seen the biggest Non-FIFA or Call of Duty launch in the UK since Red Dead Redemption 2. This includes both physical and digital sales. Moreover, Elden Ring sales are more than double last week's biggest release, Horizon: Forbidden West. The fantasy RPG title also witnessed significantly higher sales than a few other renowned titles, like Cyberpunk 2077 and Assassin's Creed Valhalla, both of whom saw exceptional launches. GSD also reported that digital downloads accounted for over 68% of Elden Ring's sales and of those, Xbox and PC were the biggest platforms. On Xbox, nearly 85% of Elden Ring sales were downloaded, and while on PC, the figure was 73%. However, for PS4 and PS5, the download sales figures were below 50%.
