I don't think anyone will be surprised to hear that Elden Ring was the best selling game of February. Even wedged in an already crowded release window, it was easily the most hyped game of the bunch. But what is impressive is that it's also managed to fend off every other 2022 release, opening at the very top of the list for best selling games the year so far.

But it does seem that the release of Elden Ring caused the long-awaited sequel to be overlooked, with its sales dipping by 80 percent in the UK since Elden Ring's launch week. Even the release of Gran Turismo 7 hasn't been enough to beat the Soulslike in the region.
It's not great news for Nintendo across the board, however. Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl has fallen all the way the 16th place, below titles such as FIFA 22, Call of Duty: Vanguard and Dying Light 2.
