Elden Ring is purposely a difficult game. Like FromSoftware's other action-RPGs, every enemy from the lowliest zombie to the most powerful dragon is designed to be capable of killing the player. If a gamer is unprepared while roaming around the Lands Between, they can find themselves facing the screen telling them they died over and over again until they master the combat and systems of Elden Ring. While some revel in the challenge of FromSoftware's difficulty, others prefer a more chilled gaming experience, and have sought ways to give Elden Ring an easy mode.
One modder, known as Hotbite on Nexus Mods, has given players a new way to make the game a lot easier for themselves. Hotbite has integrated the moves of Sword Saint Isshin into Elden Ring. For those who don't know, Sword Saint Isshin is the final boss in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. For many players, he is the game's toughest opponent, acting as a final exam for those who have diligently studied the mechanics of Sekiro's combat.
Elden Ring Datamine Suggests Malenia Used to Be an Even Tougher Boss
In Sekiro, Isshin wields a sword that can send slices of wind at the player from range, a spear that deals devastating damage, and even a gun that fires multiple shots in quick succession. These attacks can each be used by the player in Elden Ring, should they download Hotbite's mod. However, they can't instantly gain the power of Sword Saint Isshin. To make the mod work, an Elden Ring player has to equip the Nagakiba, heavy crossbow, and pike in the order specified by the modder in order for the Tarnished to adopt Isshin's moveset.
Gaining a pike and heavy crossbow shouldn't prove too tricky for an Elden Ring player, but what might take a bit of time is getting the Nagakiba.
