One fan, known as BobsVegans on Reddit, recently showed off the fun they had with the game's multiplayer, including displaying a perfect use of the Mimic Veil item.

In the case of BobsVegans, following their defeat of a host during an invasion, they used the Mimic Veil to try and gain some extra style points after beating their opponent. However, much to BobsVegans' surprise, they turned themselves into the best thing possible when they used the Mimic Veil, a gravestone, marking the spot of their opponent's death.
