Players who are struggling to find specific items or locations in Elden Ring are in luck, as an interactive map for the game is now available. Elden Ring is the first of the Soulsborne series to embrace an open-world approach to its design, but this is a double-edged sword, as it's easy for players to get lost and miss crucial items.
One way in which Elden Ring's very big open-worldcan cause problems is with weapon upgrades. A lot of the weapons require numbered upgrade items to be used in the correct order. This means a weapon that uses Smithing Stones cannot be upgraded if the player doesn't have a Smithing Stone (2), even if they have a Smithing Stone (3).
