Paintings in Elden Ring are a kind of puzzle that sends players to locate a specific spot in search of a special reward. For example, Stormveil Castle's Prophecy Painting depicts the castle in the distance, but the original spirit artist isn't found in Stormveil — they're found in the Weeping Peninsula on a cliff facing Stormveil.

When you find a painting in Elden Ring take note of any special landmarks or coloration first — the Redmane Painting depicts Redmane Castle beyond a crimson plain and beneath a blood red sky, which screams Caelid. The Ruins in the foreground are a dead giveaway of the solution, but to get there, you'll need to sharpen up your Elden Ring parkour skills.
Sellia, Town of Sorcery, is a location in central Caelid northeast of the Swamp of Aeonia and just south of Greyoll's Dragonbarrow. The easiest way to get here is to take the Teleporter Trap in the Dragon-Burnt Ruins of Limgrave, which leads to Sellia Crystal Tunnel beneath the town. Be careful when exploring the settlement, as there are lots of invisible NPCs with fast casts.
Beneath an outcropping of a building, semi-buried behind a pile of bricks and a collapsed roof, is the Redmane Painting. It's hard to see when running through the town at top speed on Torrent, so it's a good idea to take it slow, fight a few enemies at a time to clear out all threats, and search for the painting when you're sure you won't be disturbed by a rogue Glintstone Pebble.
Once you have the Redmane Painting in your inventory it can be referenced in the same tab that holds your notes and gameplay tips. You will have to leave the lower portion of Caelid and head to Greyoll's Dragonbarrow to find the original artist. The
