There are a number of small settlements and quaint villages in Elden Ring, some more intact than others. Found deep into Mount Gelmir, Hermit Village can only be accessed by taking a long, winding path through Mt Gelmir's deep canyon. It can be easy to lose your way down there, and there are lots of obstacles to watch out for on the journey — including a Runebear leveled for Mount Gelmir.

Master Sorcerer Azur can be found just beyond Hermit Village, who is central to Sellen's questline and gives the player a powerful spell: Comet Azur. This spell can be cast constantly in a beam and, though it uses a lot of FP, deals a ton of damage.
Additionally, the Errant Sorcerer set can be found here, including the Hierodas Glintstone Crown, hidden behind one of the shacks. Beating the nearby world boss Demihuman Queen Maggie yields a Memory Stone, and for non-Sorcery players, the fan-favorite Prattling Pate «You're Beautiful» is found here too. There are of course consumable items, Runes, and crafting materials spread throughout Hermit Village, but none that stand out in particular, especially in comparison to key items and gear found here.
