Elden Ring has hundreds of hours of content, but even completionists that take their time in-game may fail to find every secret and experience every quest. Completionist playthroughs aren't for everyone, as they can nearly double the amount of content in games of every genre. This strategy involves finishing every mission, completing every puzzle, and unlocking every achievement. It can be time-consuming, complex, and frustrating for players to accomplish without guides, but Elden Ring players are pursuing the goal. Unfortunately, since the game is still being updated and new quest steps are entering the game, making it very difficult for completionists to fulfill their purpose.
Elden Ring takes place in the Lands Between after the Shattering has destroyed the kingdom and thrown its inhabitants into chaos. Without the guidance of an outer god called the Greater Will, it's left to the Tarnished to claim the Elden Lord title and restore order to the land. The journey takes hundreds of hours, leaving players to meet dozens of characters, complete several lengthy questlines, and fight countless bosses spread throughout the map. Unfortunately, considering the format FromSoftware uses for many of its titles, it's challenging to understand where or when quests can be completed and advanced.
