A job listing shared by a scriptwriter on EA Motive's Iron Man game seems to suggest that it'll be open-world, as one of the requirements specifically mentions needing experience in "open world and non-linear dialogue for games".
Now that EA Motive has successfully brought back Dead Space, it seems like it's moving onto its next big project - an Iron Man game made in collaboration with Marvel. Although the project was announced more than half a year ago now, we've seen very little of it aside from the concept image that Motive shared back in September.

We've also barely heard anything about what kind of game Iron Man will be, although many have assumed it'll be in the vein of Insomniac's Spider-Man. Well, that theory looks like it's got a little more backing it up now, as a new job listing for the game specifically requests that applicants have experience working on open-world games.
The job posting was spotted by Redditor WHENWETOUCH and shared on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit after having originally been shared by Stephen Rhodes, a scriptwriter who is working on Iron Man. The role is for a senior writer on the game, which makes it more surprising that a little nugget of gameplay information seems to be hidden within the listing.
In the "qualifications" part of the listing, it mentions that applicants will need to have "experience in open world and non-linear dialogue for games". This would suggest that anyone working on the script for the game would need to know how to write dialogue specifically relating to an open world, something that would seemingly only be necessary if the game itself featured open-world mechanics.
