Dylan O'Brien's explanation as to why he won't return for the Teen Wolf movie revival is a cause for concern. So when the reboot was announced, fans were excited to see the pair back together. Unfortunately, that won't happen because O'Brien isn't involved in the upcoming project.
Teen Wolf series creator Jeff Davis signed a deal with MTV that includes him spearheading the upcoming project for Paramount+. Plot details for the film are still scant at the moment, but production has already started. Aside from Posey, Crystal Reed as Allison Argent, Holland Roden as Lydia Martin, Colton Haynes as Jackson Whittemore, Shelley Hennig as Malia Tate, Linden Ashby as Sheriff Noah Stilinski, Orny Adams as Coach Bobby Finstock, JR Bourne as Chris Argent, Seth Gilliam as Dr. Alan Deaton, Ryan Kelley as Deputy Jordan Parrish, Melissa Ponzio as Melissa McCall, and Dylan Sprayberry as Liam Dunbar are all returning. Dylan O'Brien revealed that he wanted to partake in the film, but things didn't line up in terms of his schedule and Paramount+ wants to get the revival out immediately.

This should be a red flag for fans, as it sounds as though the Teen Wolf reunion movie is being put together hastily.
