The PlayStation 5 launched with some heavy improvements to the console itself compared to the last generation’s PlayStation 4. However, the improved controller was also released alongside the console. After DualShock 4, Sony introduced their new DualSense to the public. It was designed to give players a more immersive experience when playing games. While the design wasn’t much different from the DualShock 4, it includes a few notable features. But one thing that some players might have wished was improved is the battery life.
Well, if you feel that the DualSense lacks some battery life to deal with multiple game sessions before a recharge, then you might be in luck. A new report from VGC has found a retailer listing for a DualSense V2. This new controller version was spotted at Walmart, where the listing suggests we’re getting a longer battery life. This new battery that will be included in the DualSense V2 will bring in 12 hours of battery life, which should help with those longer gameplay sessions without waiting for your controller to charge.
This might be a new version, but it will still apparently come in at the same standard price point. That should be welcomed news, but so far, this is just a listing. We’re waiting for the official word to come out that confirms a new version of the DualSense will come out, and with it, just how big of a battery will be included. Furthermore, it will be interesting to see if there are any other notable changes or additions made to the controller.
As mentioned, the DualSense controller does make some improvements over the DualShock 4. Two features that were incorporated with this controller aim to give the player a more immersive experience. For starters, we have Haptic Feedback.
