If you think that The Sims and Stardew Valley are a bit too grounded in realism, you'll be pleased to hear that Disney has you covered. Disney Dreamlight Valley was announced by the company on Wednesday, a brand-new life sim that lets you live amongst pretty much every Disney/Pixar character you've ever heard of. The game was announced via a new trailer, showing off the game's world and some of the things you'll be doing in it.
For example, a few of the activities shown in the trailer include cooking in the kitchen with Remy from Ratatouille, planting and watering crops with Wall-e, and fishing with Goofy. Of course, there is an over-arching plot as you attempt to save Dreamlight Valley from the Forgetting, which manifests itself as a collection of horrid thorns that have severed memories tied to the valley and have locked the inhabitants behind their doors.

Disney Dreamlight Valley doesn't have a solid release date, but it will be launching in Early Access at some point in summer 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, with a Nintendo Switch version later down the line. You'll need to make sure you have either an Xbox Game Pass subscription or purchase a Founders Pack to play the Early Access build. If you want to play the game once it's fully finished, you'll have to wait until 2023.
Some good news though, as the game will be free-to-play when it does come out of Early Access, although it's worth noting that because of this it will likely have some kind of digital currency attached to it as this is how free-to-play titles usually bring in money.
