Dragon's Dogma 2 is pretty fantastic - I'm sure you'll struggle to find a fan of the series that doesn't hold that viewpoint. That doesn't mean it's perfect though, as while the game is looking like one of 2024's best, there are some things that are beginning to irk players that have sunk a significant amount of time into the game. Earlier this week, fans were complaining about the lack of enemy variety, and it turns out the beasties in Dragon's Dogma 2 aren't the only things that are getting a little repetitive.
This issue was first raised by Reddit user xZerocidex on the Dragon's Dogma subreddit, and it seems like a large portion of the game's community is getting a little sick of Pawns wearing the exact same armor when you start getting to higher levels. To prove their point, they shared an image of themselves inside the Rift, with several Pawns standing around them wearing the exact same combination of clothing, that being the Stargazer set.
Obviously, you can attribute this instance to Dragon's Dogma 2 players being rampant horndogs, but the lack of armor variety is something that players are getting pretty sick of, with "endgame armor" being extremely limited to just one or two sets per Vocation. Unlike most modern RPGs these days, armor upgrades don't affect your stats all that much, meaning you'll have to constantly switch equipment to keep up with the increasingly powerful enemies.

Because everyone is upgrading to the same armor, and the fact there's not that much armor per Vocation to begin with, you start to see very little variety in Pawns once you hit higher levels. It's led to many fans calling for Capcom to add some kind of way to upgrade your armor and have it be on par with endgame equipment, or add some kind of transmog system which will allow them to "Fashion Dogma" as much as they like.
