Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2's next DLC chapter has been revealed as the "Future Saga", and it'll be introducing new Ultra Supervillain versions of Super Saiyan God for Vegeta and Super Saiyan Rose for Goku Black.
We're in a bit of a golden age for Dragon Ball Z video games right now with the upcoming release of Sparking Zero, an excellent post-launch DLC run for Kakarot, and current-gen updates for Xenoverse 2 and FighterZ. Although we've barely recovered from the recent Sparking Zero gameplay showcase, it's time to get excited about Dragon Ball games again now that we've just found out what's next for Xenoverse 2.
We've known for some time that a new saga was going to be added to the game alongside the current-gen update, but a new trailer released by Bandai Namco has pulled the curtain back on what the next DLC will be about. The "Future Saga" will be a four-part storyline that begins in Spring 2024, and features Fu discovering a new power called Ultra Supervillain.
The trailer for the Future Saga shows two key characters getting the Ultra Supervillain treatment - Vegeta and Goku Black. Goku Black is the first fighter to get the transformation, and is shown in his Super Saiyan God Rose form with a strange purple tint and much more power than he had before.
Fans previously guessed that the new character would be Super Saiyan 3 Rose Goku Black, so they were at least right about who the character was going to be.
As cool as it is to see Goku Black getting more of the spotlight, the far more interesting version of the transformation goes to Vegeta, who is shown with a variant of his Super Saiyan God form that looks awfully similar to Ultra Ego. We see Vegeta using this Ultra Supervillain power to battle against Super Saiyan God Goku, which draws some parallels to their battle in the Buu saga.
