Upcoming RPG Dragon Age: The Veilguard will feature a full suite of customisable difficulty options. A new Game Informer article reveals that alongside your typical premade settings — Storyteller, Adventurer, and Nightmare — you'll be able to adjust individual values in order to create your own custom difficulty.
You can tweak fundamental stuff like incoming and outgoing damage, along with how aggressive enemies are in general. On top of that, you can rebalance the more skill-based elements — which is obviously a big deal given how action-focused The Veilguard's combat system is. Aim assist can be altered — complete with what sounds like a total auto-aim toggle — and parry windows can be shortened or extended to suit your needs.
And last but not least, there's an option to turn off death, which might raise a few eyebrows, but the simple truth is that different people play games for different reasons. The Veilguard is clearly trying to provide options for any and every type of player — and that's admirable.
"[None of these options] are a cheat," director Corinne Busche tells Game Informer. "[No death is an] option to make sure players of all abilities can show up," she adds.

Is this the part where I relentlessly hound anyone who chooses to use these options, options that have no pull or say so on how I play the game, and tell them they need to git gud and just not play
