Doctor Strange 2’s America Chavez Actor Reacts to Getting MCU Action Figure
Xochitl Gomez, who is bringing America Chavez to life in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, reacts to becoming an action figure. Throughout Phase 4, the MCU has been busy introducing several new characters, particularly members from the Young Avengers, to set up the next generation of heroes.WandaVision gave fans Wiccan and Speed, while Hawkeye brought Kate Bishop into the franchise. In the next Doctor Strange installment, America Chavez will be the next young heroine to join the ranks, with Gomez portraying the beloved character.
Similar to Loki season 1 and Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will continue exploring alternative realities. While Marvel Studios, like with most of their films, have kept a lot of details under wraps, the sequel will see Benedict Cumberbatch pulling double-duty by playing at least two versions of himself, after the latest Doctor Strange 2 trailer revealed the appearance of Evil Strange (aka Strange Supreme). So far, America's role in the story has been a big mystery, but the Sam Raimi-directed film will mark the character's live-action debut, as she has only been in a few animated projects, including the Marvel Rising franchise.
