The biggest Avenger complaint in the MCU is highlighted in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Ever since Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) assembled Earth's Mightiest Heroes to fight Loki (Tom Hiddleston), they've become the premier superhero team in the franchise. But despite being the MCU's go-to protectors, they seem to go missing during a lot of smaller, but still dangerous situations.
Over the course of 14 years, the MCU has only had four Avengers films. The titular team assembled for the first time in The Avengers. By Avengers: Age of Ultron, the roster expanded with the addition of several new members. By Avengers: Infinity War, the squad had disbanded due to Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Captain America's (Chris Evans) falling out in Captain America: Civil War. It took them five years to re-assemble in Avengers: Endgame. In-between the Avengers' adventures, however, were countless other incidents — most of them would've been easily resolved had Earth's Mightiest Heroes got involved.

Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case. This particular issue has been highlighted by the new Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness teaser. In it, Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) recruits Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) in his new mission, but Wanda points out that «there are other Avengers,» implying that he should seek out them instead. She has a point here, especially considering what happened in the Maximoff Anomaly as seen in WandaVision. But, considering her magic capabilities coupled with her knowledge about the multiverse, she's perfect for the mission. But, arguably, it would also be better for Doctor Strange if he enlists
