As part of an ambitious new initiative, Disney is launching residential neighborhoods where fans can actually live. The Walt Disney Company is one of the biggest entertainment and media conglomerates in the world. In addition to owning a host of well-respected entertainment and production companies, including Marvel, Lucasfilm, Pixar, and a number of others, Disney is also responsible for some of the most popular theme park experiences in the world.
First opened in 1971, Walt Disney World is now one of the most-visited entertainment resort complexes on Earth. In addition to the company's popular cruise line, Disney's acquisitions of Marvel and Lucasfilm have led to the creation of the Avengers Campus and Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge theme parks, which have become popular tourist attractions, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in their favorite entertainment franchises. Further capitalizing on the global love for Star Wars, Disney also recently announced the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Adventure, a two-night experience designed to be the ultimate Star Wars experience, replicating what it would feel like to go on an intergalactic luxury voyage in a galaxy far, far away.

A new report from USA Today reveals that Disney is looking to make a significant investment in a brand new experience – an entire residential neighborhood.
