Disable New 10.1.5 Action Bar Effects with WeakAura - GCD Flash & Button Castbar
In Patch 10.1.5, Blizzard made a lot of significant improvements to the base UI, but the new Cooldown Flash and In-Button Castbar have been criticized by some players as being distracting. While there previously wasn't a way to disable these new effects, a crafty reddit user has created code and subsequent WeakAura to disable these new effects.
Disabling New Action Bar Button EffectsThe effects that players have found the most distracting are the in-button castbar that slowly fills on the spell being cast as well as the rotating flash that appears on all your buttons at once with the global cooldown. You can see these effects in action below: A clever reddit user, Xodiv, developed the code to disable these effects. A follow up user, Fonjask, then created a comparable WeakAura on Wago.io for easy importing and updating. Disable Action Button Effects WeakAura As an unfortunate side effect, this WeakAura will disable the flash for individual spell cooldowns which people have found more helpful, so do not use if you prefer to keep that feature.
