Since its early access launch, Blizzard Entertainment’s Diablo 4 has received its share of hotfixes (though sadly no fix yet for the “invalid license” error on PS5). However, its latest patch contains several balance changes, nerfing meta builds like Whirlwind Barbarian, Twisting Blades Rogue and Pulverize Druid.
For Barbarian, the damage reduction from Challenging Shout’s skill ranks is reduced from four to two percent. Aspect of the Dire Whirlwind’s Critical Strike Chance is now 3-8 percent instead of 5-10 percent, while the maximum Critical Strike Chance is down to 9-24 percent. The explosion damage from Gohr’s Devastating Grips grants has gone from 50-70 percent to 16-26 percent.
Pulverize’s Lucky Hit Chance for Druids is now 25 percent instead of 33 percent. Grizzly Rage’s extended duration from kills has also gone from 10 to five seconds, while Calm Before the Storm’s Lucky Hit Chance is now 10 percent instead of 15. As for Rogue, cooldown reduction per enemy hit from Advanced Twisting Blades is now .1 seconds instead of .25 seconds.
The damage reduction per shadow from Dark Shroud’s skill ranks is down to .4 percent, while the Critical Strike Damage bonus from Enhanced Dash is now 15 percent. Check out the full notes below.
