2023 has been the year of massive, long-anticipated releases that have, by and large, launched to incredible critical and commercial success, from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to Resident Evil 4 and more. Diablo 4 launched in early access last week for Ultimate Edition owners, and today, went live worldwide for all players across all platforms. Blizzard Entertainment has announced that the game has already become the biggest launch in the company’s history. With more pre-launch unit sales than any previous Blizzard title to date, it is the developer’s fastest-selling game to date.
Since its early access launch on June 1, Diablo 4 has been collectively played for over 93 million hours, the company says.
