This week saw the return of Lord Saladin, aka Valus Forge, as Iron Banner made its first of only two appearances during Season of the Haunted. This time around, the limited time PvP mode brought back the classic Rift mode into Destiny 2, as well as a few changes from the traditional formula. On a basic level, Rift features two teams fighting over a neutral spark where the controlling team attempts to bring it to the opposing base.
However, there has been a number of hiccups during the first Iron Banner event, including odd bugs that interrupt matches to glitches that have impeded player progress with ranking up and earning triumphs. The mode also features daily challenges and ranking system to match other vendors, though some have pointed out a few issues with the new system including the fact that Destiny 2 players will have to abandon certain builds in order to really take advantage of the rank increase.
