Destiny 2 Showcase Announced for August 2022
Destiny 2's Season of the Haunted is coming to a close, and players are now enjoying a moment of respite from the ongoing war between Light and Darkness that heavily influenced the past few Seasons. Season 18 will feature the highly anticipated Arc 3.0 update alongside more sandbox changes to both PvE and PvP, possibly adding several intrinsic anti-Champion modifiers to existing Exotic weapons. However, the themes of Season 18 and Season 19 remain a mystery at this stage, and this also applies to the upcoming Lightfall expansion, which should hit the stores by the end of February of next year if no delays occur.
Many Destiny 2 fans expected Lightfall news on Bungie Day, the recurring anniversary of Bungie's foundation in July 1991, but the company didn't have any sort of announcement planned for that date. Bungie's silence on Lightfall is understandable because of the recent harassment issues that its developers are facing, and it also makes sense because players don't yet know what the Seasons that precede the expansion are going to be about. However, a new announcement is on its way, and Bungie employees are already hyping it up on social media.

Today, the official Destiny 2 Twitter account released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming Lightfall announcement, revealing that the presentation will go live on August 23.
