Destiny 2 content creator Esoterickk, known for completing some of the hardest challenges in the game, uploaded a video onto YouTube showcasing a solo-Master-one-phase kill on the first boss of the Grasp of Avarice dungeon. Esoterickk plays as a Titan wielding the middle-tree Sunbreaker subclass, which the perks grant him the throwing hammer. He also wields an energy shotgun with the One-Two Punch perk and the Tractor Cannon heavy shotgun. Combined with the Synthoceps exotic gantlets, Esoterickk makes his way through the encounter, killing enemies with his hammer, until he finally comes face-to-face with the boss Phry'zhia The Insatiable where he melts the boss by repeatedly driving his throwing hammer into it with shotgun shots in-between throws.
Destiny 2's throwing hammers have the ability to be picked up and thrown again and grant bonus damage for every kill with them. The One-Two Punch perk on Esoterickk's energy shotgun grants bonus melee damage upon landing all pellets onto a single enemy, which the game considers the throwing hammer as a melee attack, and then using Tractor Cannon also grants a multiplicative damage bonus of 30 percent.
