While Bungie's yearly Destiny 2 DLC announcement livestreams are eagerly awaited by the community, one of the issues the developer has faced over the past couple of years have been leaks. Namely, whenever there's a big announcement coming up, dataminers jump onto the opportunity to try and leak as much information about the upcoming reveals as possible, and Lightfall's livestream has been no exception.
However, one of the big Destiny 2 reveals that came up during this latest developer stream has been the quality-of-life updates Bungie's been working on under the hood, which didn't end up getting leaked in any way, shape, or form. The biggest item on this list is certainly the upcoming introduction of full-fledged gear loadouts into the game, allowing players to quickly and easily switch between entirely different item setups on the fly.

Flashy new additions coming with the Lightfall DLC, such as Destiny 2's new Strand power, are extremely exciting, but the introduction of a variable loadout system is one of the most highly requested quality-of-life features in the game's history. The need for this feature was only underlined further when Bungie decided to double-down on Destiny 2's RPG features by introducing a variety of mods, stats, and ability setups that greatly affect moment-to-moment gameplay.
As it currently stands, players must rely on third-party tools such as Destiny Inventory Manager to create custom loadouts, unless they're eager to spend time on switching between different mod setups and the like.
