A new Destiny 2 expansion means plenty of new content for players to dig their teeth into, not the least of which is a new suite of weapons to grind for. The Witch Queen is bringing a new twist on this grind with the introduction of weapon crafting to give players more direct control over the weapons in their arsenal. However, there will still be plenty of new and returning weapons to chase when the expansion releases, the latter of which will see the return of Destiny's weapon foundries to the game.
The Witch Queen is the latest expansion to Destiny 2 which will pit guardians against Savathun, the Hive god of cunning, who has mysteriously obtained the Light and all its powers. Players will need to call on a suite of new and returning weapons, along with refreshed abilities, to hunt down the titular Hive queen and take back the Light. However, standing between players and Savathun is her Lucent Brood, Hive imbued with the Light and the abilities it comes with.
New Destiny 2 Legendary Weapon Buffs Coming in Witch Queen
In the latest This Week at Bungie, the studio took a deep dive into the overall weapon refresh coming to the game as part of The Witch Queen. The loot refresh mentioned above will mark the return of the Hakke, Veist, Omolon, and Suros weapon foundries to the game with «12 new weapons in the style of the Destiny 2 Year-1 foundry weapon sets» to replace the existing world loot pool. An additional foundry weapon will also be available in Vanguard, Crucible, and Gambit as the respective playlist weapon.
The foundry weapons, as with the other new and returning weapons, will take advantage of the new Origin Traits available to all weapons in The Witch Queen's overall loot pool. Alongside the activity Origin Traits,
