Since the introduction of champions, Bungie has slowly been altering Destiny 2's armory of exotics to be viable against Overload, Barrier, and Unstoppable champions without the need for mods. The latest sandbox update will see plenty of buffs to exotics such as Malfeasance, Thunderlord, and Wish-ender to make them more viable in endgame activities where champions are a regular headache. However, it is the update to the exotic bow Le Monarque which has the game's community buzzing online with excitement for the next update.
Destiny 2 is currently nearing the end of its current season with Season of the Haunted, which saw the return of Calus and the Leviathan as the former Cabal emperor's ship took orbit over Earth's moon. Guardians were tasked with investigating the ship to learn of Calus' intentions with the dormant lunar Pyramid alongside Eris Morn, Crow, Commander Zavala, and Cabal Empress Caiatl. The season's narrative reached its climax ahead of Solstice as players were finally able to sever the connection between the Leviathan and the Pyramid, but not before Calus was able to fully give himself over to The Witness and become its newest herald.

As the season is almost over, Bungie is starting to give players a glimpse of what is coming in season 18's sandbox update on August 23. One of the changes on the way, as mentioned above, is an intrinsic Overload perk to Le Monarque's poison arrows that make the bow viable in endgame activities against Overload champions. News of the change appeared to be a welcome one among the Destiny 2 community as many players took to the game's official subreddit to share their excitement for the change.
